The Story

WelBeauty was created by Dr. Mónica Dorvil-Bello, a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Aesthetic Medicine, with a simple but powerful vision: to unite medicine, wellness, and beauty under one roof.
Throughout her years in practice, Dr. Bello noticed that patients often struggled not only with health challenges such as weight management, fatigue, or chronic conditions, but also with the emotional impact of not feeling confident in their appearance. She understood that true transformation required a comprehensive approach healing the body from the inside while enhancing natural beauty on the outside.

Dr. Monica bello
CEO / Internist Physician (Obesity Medicine)
Dr. Monica Bello is a highly accomplished medical professional with a diverse background in Internal Medicine, Aesthetic Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. She holds an M.D. degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Bello completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic’s Akron General Medical Center in Ohio.
She is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and serves as a Mentor for the Obesity Medicine Association.

Dr. Bello currently serves as President of the Dominican Health Care Association of Florida (DOHCAF), where she leads efforts to support and advance healthcare professionals serving the Dominican community.
Dr. Monica Bello has a strong background in research, having worked as a co-investigator at Akron General Medical Center, where she studied the relationship between sleeve gastrectomy for obesity and gastroesophageal reflux disease. She also served as a research technician at New York University, focusing on pancreatic inflammation, carcinogenesis, liver disease, and basic cellular immunology.
In addition to her research experience, Dr. Bello has gained extensive clinical expertise at esteemed medical institutions, including UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Florida; Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio; Broward Health Imperial Point in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She currently works with MIB Surgery, Memorial Hospital Regional, and Memorial Hospital Miramar in Florida, as well as Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama. Dr. Bello also practices at Memorial Hospital South in Hollywood, Florida. Her previous affiliations include Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama; Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama; and North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, Alabama.
Through her brand, WelBeauty, Dr. Bello offers personalized treatment plans that merge medical expertise with the latest advancements in aesthetics and weight loss. She integrates her knowledge of internal medicine with specialized training in aesthetics and obesity medicine to provide comprehensive, evidence-based solutions. Her approach is results-driven, designed to help clients achieve their beauty and wellness goals while promoting self-confidence and long-term well-being.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Monica Bello is a devoted wife and mother. She is married to Dr. Abel Bello, a renowned surgeon and founder of MIB Surgery. Together, they are proud parents to two children, Brandon and Brianna. Dr. Bello excels not only in her medical career but also in balancing her family life with dedication and grace.
